The Port of Moses Lake and W20 partners are pleased to announce that the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA) has recognized the Port of Moses Lake and the W20 Project with the 2026 Creative Partnership Award. Presented at the WPPA annual Spring Meeting last week, this honor shines a spotlight on the leadership, vision, and commitment in pursuit of a stronger, more resilient water future for communities, agriculture, industry, and the environment across the Columbia Basin.

Each year, the WPPA honors outstanding work by port districts across the state through four award categories including job creation, community engagement, environmental stewardship, and creative partnerships, with emphasis on projects that strengthen local economies and improve quality of life in Washington’s port communities.
Port of Moses Lake Executive Director, Dan Roach, said, “This is a shared win and one that nods at all of us coming together around a bold shared purpose: to tackle long-standing water challenges and create new possibilities for the region’s future. We see this award as a celebration of that uncommon collaboration and of the determination, trust, and shared leadership that is making this all possible.”
Partners in the W20 project include Western Pacific Engineering, Grant County, Columbia Basin Conservation District, The City of Moses Lake, Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District, City of Quincy, Columbia Basin Sustainable Water Coalition, Moses Lake Watershed Council, and Columbia Basin Development League.
